Luca Ferretti and team mates celebrate Gold in Dubrovnik

12 September 2008 Livornese swimmer Luca Ferretti yesterday won a gold medal at the European Open Water Swimming Champioships in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The Italian team - Ferretti, Rachele Bruni and Andrea Volpi - won the 5km team event race. The silver medal was won by Russia, and the bronze by Germany.

This is the fifth medal for Italy at these championships.
