The 18th Coppa Remiera Santa Giulia will take place on the evening of 22nd May, which celebrates the Patron Saint of Livorno, Santa Giulia. The race is just one of Livorno's many rowing races contested between the city's 16  Rioni   or districts.
Events will begin at 6.30pm with the benediction of the boats, and the rowers. The competition will begin at 7.30pm. It takes place in the Fossi opposite the Scali delle Cantine, around the Fortezza Nuova. There are four categories: for the four-men 'gozzette', three junior girls' teams and six junior 'minipalio' teams, followed by the senior four-man 'gozzette' and ten-man 'gozzi'. The course is 800 metres long and is raced by two boats at a time. Prize-giving at about 11.45pm.
