This important exhibition celebrates the work of Livornese artist Giovanni Fattori on the 100th anniversary of his death in 1908. The exhibition takes place in the Granai of the Villa Mimbelli, the separate wing of Livorno's art gallery used for temporary exhibitions.

New York abstract artist Linda Schrank also has a house in Tuscany where she spends part of the year. Some of the works on display in this Livorno exhibition form part of the Sanskriti series which she carried out after a stay in India. Saturday 28th June is the opening day of the exhibition which continues until 30th July. Tues-Sat 10am-1pm and 4-8pm. Closed Sundays and on Monday mornings (4-8pm only).

Much bigger and better than the 2007 edition, Livorno Rock Village is back for 2008 as a 10-day event, beginning on 3 July. It takes place in Villa Corridi, Via di Collinaia, Livorno. Contrary to what its title suggests, the music festival features events of a varied nature, from dance to gospel singers, market stalls and places to eat, as well as well-known rock bands like P.F.M., Biokill, Bubble's Band and Riccardo Vernaccini and many others.
