Finally...
Treviso 0, Livorno 4
Livorno against Treviso was a load of balls for Treviso. First Guigou was sent off for kicking the wrong ones in Loviso's vicinity and then goalkeeper Cordaz was sent off for handling his in the wrong place. The scoreline somewhat flatters Livorno who actually took their opportunities for the first time in months, but also played at times like they were the team with 10 (and then 9) men.
The game started well with Emanuele Filippini firing a curling shot past Cordaz in the 6th minute. Livorno increased the pressure and had a number of chances. The pressure was telling on Treviso and this showed when Guigou kicked out on Loviso catching him firmly in the shorts and unsurprisingly saw red.
Livorno continued the pressure but could find no way through and then proceeded to give the ball away at every opportunity. Finally in the 40th minute Gallante rose to head home a corner and settle fan nerves.
The second half continued in the same vein as the first. Livorno seemed incapable of finding someone in an amaranto shirt as they couldn't work out how to use the extra man. Finally, Tavano fired home to settle the nerves in the 60th minute. This was followed shortly after with another sending off for Treviso; Cordaz attempted to cath the ball outside the area after a poor defensive header and Cellerino closing in.
With a two man advantage Acori obviously felt sorry for Treviso and sent Paulinho on. Despite this, and the continuing ability of men in amaranto to pass to men in white, Tavano poached a fourth goal after good work on the left carved open space. This is the first win since February 22nd, so hopefully should give confidence entering the final stages of the season.
At home on Saturday is Modena.
