Montenero in Bloom Competition

Calling all Montenero Gardening Enthusiasts

Will this be a Montenero in Bloom entry?For the very first time this year a Montenero in Bloom competition - Montenero in Fiore - has been launched: Montenero residents are invited to take part by embellishing their balcony, window sill or garden with an attractive and imaginative display of flowers.

Entries must be made by the 31st May 2009 on the form that can be obtained from the Montenero website. The entries will be assessed by a group of judges including a representative of the Circoscrizione 5, a member of the La Funicolare association, and an expert from the gardening world. There will be first, second and third prizes.

The competition will be judged during the festivities taking place leading up to St John the Baptist's feast day on 24th June, 'San Giovanni' being the patron saint of Montenero.
