Ride from Pisa's Piazza dei Miracoli, site of the Leaning Tower, to the sand dunes of the San Rossore Nature Reserve, with possible sightings of wild boar, deer and foxes on the way.
Programme: Meet in Piazza Grande, Livorno, and drive to Pisa to pick up bikes. Cycle to Piazza dei Miracoli, along the River Arno, through the old city centre of Pisa, and then on to San Rossore Park. Light lunch at the park's Visitor Centre based on local products. Cycle back to starting point in Pisa.
Technical details: Duration: 8-9 hours, 30km of cycling on asphalt and white roads. Route on the flat.
Cost: €85 per person, including minivan transfer from Livorno and back, English, Spanish and German speaking environmental guide, cycle hire, light lunch of local products and wine, entrance to the San Rossore park, technical assistance throughout.

Explore this beautiful part of the Tuscan coast, with its vineyards, gentle hills, cypresses, pinewoods, history and art.
Programme: Meet in Piazza Grande, Livorno, and drive along the panoramic coastal road to Donoratico to pick up bikes. Cycle along one of Italy's most stunning wine roads, and along the cypress-lined avenue that leads to the village of Bolgheri. Short stop in the village. Continue cycling to a local agriturismo and vineyard for a well-earned lunch! Products made by the farm, including tasting of their excellent wines. Tour of the wine cellar. Cycle back to starting point and return transfer to Livorno.
Technical details: Duration: 8.5-9.5 hours, 30km of cycling on asphalt and white roads. 170m altitude difference

Discover the hills around Livorno, an area of natural park containing lush woodland and historic sites such as the 18th-century Leopoldian aqueduct.
Programme: meeting in Piazza Grande, Livorno, and drive to Valle Benedetta via the rocky coast of Calafuria. Admire the spectacular panorama of the Tuscan archipelago, the Apuane alps and the Apennines. Lunch at a typical trattoria. Walk along a ridge through fields and woodland, then along the Aqueduct and back to our starting point. Transfer back to Livorno.
Technical details: circular walk in Valle Benedetta, approximately 7km; uphill rise of 340m; duration 3.5-4.5 hours
Cost: €85 per person, including minivan transfer from Livorno and return, English, Spanish and German speaking environmental guide, lunch at a local trattoria, technical assistance throughout.

Walking Tour 2, The Apuane AlpsWalking Tour 2, The Apuane AlpsWalking Tour 2: The Apuane Alps and the Marble Quarries
The Apuane Alps in the north of Tuscany offer breathtaking views and incredible scenery. Our destination is the paths around the famous Carrara marble quarries in the heart of the Apuane mountains. 
Programme: Meet in Piazza Grande, Livorno, and drive to the quarry area via the art town of Pietrasanta. The quarry we visit will depend on the number and experience of participants. Visit to the quarrymen's museum, and a light lunch during which you'll be able to taste the local delicacy, "lardo di colonnata". Return to starting point and transfer back to Livorno.
Technical details: total tour duration, 8-9 hours; 2 hours of walking at a height of 1000-1500m above sea level, with a 200m rise.
