Pisa's Galileo Galilei Airport is the main airport in Tuscany, handling domestic and European flights as well as a direct long-haul service Pisa-New York operated by Delta Airlines. Other airlines operating to Pisa include British Airways, Ryanair, Easyjet, and Jet2.com.

There are train links directly from the airport to Pisa Central Station, which is just a few minutes away. Direct trains run from Pisa Central to Livorno Central throughout the day, as well as to Florence, Lucca, Rome, Genoa and Turin.

There are also direct bus links from Pisa Airport to Pisa Centrale Station, operated by the LAM Rossa bus, which runs about four times an hour from 6.30am to about 8.30pm.
