Great Site!

Hi, I just wanted to send you a short note to let you know how thank
full I am, of your publication of Livorno Now. I stumbled upon it when
I was web searching for information on Livorno. (Not much out there)
and was pleased to finally find a site that gave me the information I
needed. We are going to be arriving by Cruise Ship to Livorno, and my
husband and I did not want to do any excursions from shore, we want to
stay close to port. (We are coastal people, ourselves) But we were
having a hard time finding things to do or see in the port of Livorno.
Since I have been reading Livorno Now, I was able to find the
information I needed and now know what and where we want to go. Thanks again for the great info and site.

Let's hope Livorno can live up to it!

I've been a Livorno resident since 1981 which is even longer than Sarah (the site editor)!  I'm not a habitual net-surfer and this is the first time I've ever been onto a blog let alone contributed to one.  However, I felt I really wanted to say how excellent this site is both for residents and visitors alike.  It's easy to get around, even for a computer-illiterate like myself, and is extremely informative not only regarding what's on but it also gives an idea of the 'feel' of the city - a city which is so different from the rest of Tuscany and in many respects cannot compare with Florence, Pisa, Lucca and other popular destinations, a 'young' city by Italian standards (formally created on the drawing-board just over 400 years ago although with roots that go back many more centuries), but nevertheless a city with a fascinating multi-cultural history and a rough-diamond, cultured soul, which may sound like a contradiction but that's how it is in this Tuscan port.  I just hope that our local administrators can learn to set a better example to the residents in order to lead Livorno forwards towards its vibrant and dynamic past!
