In 2017 the TuscanyBUS company will be adding a new bus service to their schedule, making it possible to visit the cities of Pisa and Lucca in one day from Livorno. This will be in addition to the already well-established services to Pisa and Florence. All services depart from Livorno city centre and run on selected dates (see below for details).

How to get from your Cruise Ship to Livorno City Centre

If your cruise ship docks at one of the industrial piers in Livorno Port (which all the big ships do), there will be a cruise shuttle bus service into town which drops off and picks up in Via Cogorano, alongside Piazza del Municipio, opposite Livorno town hall (Comune), just behind Piazza Grande. There is usually a charge for this. In 2017 it costs €5 per person, round trip.

This is a free service, available in 266 stations throughout Italy, but it has to be booked at least 24 hours in advance and passengers need to know the train they wish to catch to arrange assistance.
