Going to Pisa by Train from Livorno

View of Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa (Via Santa Maria starts to the right of the green awning)It is quick and easy to get from Livorno to Pisa by train. The journey to Pisa only takes 15-20 minutes, trains are frequent, and it is cheap - only €1.90 each way per person.

Livorno to Pisa Bus Service

As an alternative to the train, the Livorno-Pisa route is also run by the CPT (Pisa bus company).

The CPT bus service Livorno-Pisa takes about an hour because it goes via the small coastal towns of Tirrenia and Marina di Pisa (popular for their beaches in the summer).

Bus Stop at the Stazione Marittima: Cruise Terminal in the background If you are joining a cruise in Livorno, in particular an MSC cruise, you can travel from Pisa Airport by local bus number 101. This makes a stop just outside the gates that lead into the cruise and ferry terminal area. The stop is known as the Stazione Marittima. From here it is a very short walk, through the port barrier and across to the Cruise Terminal which is where the MSC ships dock.
