Trying to find a Restaurant
Posted August 28th, 2008 by iqy3834
About 10 years ago an Italian friend took me to Livorno all the way from Florence just to have what she considered the best seafood in Tuscany. I liked it very much. I don't know what the restaurant was called but I am going to be in the area in a couple months and would like to visit it again. It had a proprietor that was very gregarious and visited the tables and made jokes with all the patrons (in Italian of course) which I could barely understand. The portions were massive, and for dessert we had lemon sorbetto with some Limoncello to pour into it if we liked. I am assuming it was a well known place since we drove there from Firenze. If anyone knows of this place please let me know. Thanks.

it sounds like you are
Submitted on January 23rd, 2009 by Editorit sounds like you are looking for the Sottomarino in Via Terrazini, behind Piazza della Repubblica. Famous for fish and its gregarious proprietor.
