Venezia district wins 2009 Coppa dei Risiatori

The Venezia team, rowing for victory, 14 June 2009This year's Coppa dei Risiatori - one of the most important rowing races in Livorno's rowing season - was won today by the Venezia team. The ten man team in their red 'gozza' was clearly the strongest of the eight teams from early in the race, quickly leaving behind the Ovo Sodo team, which came second.

The next rowing race on the calendar is the Coppa Barontini on 27 June.
