Andrea Colli - Jazz Percussionist

Andrea Colli Andrea Colli Livornese percussionist Andrea Colli began his musical career at the end of the 1970s thanks to his then teacher Giangi Debolini.
In 1975 he played for a short period with the cult band Area, and at the end of the 70s he met drummer Elvin Jones who helped him in his decision to concentrate on jazz.
At the end of the 80s Andrea Colli was asked by the Arci Nova association in Livorno to form one of Italy's first multi-ethnic bands, and thus began an important collaboration with musicians from Senegal with whom he performed several concerts around Italy.

He later played with the Jam Big Band along with Mauro Grossi, and at the beginning of the 90s met American drummer Bobby Durham who became both collaborator and friend of Andrea's.

Andrea Colli is currently the leader of the Legacy Project and has also recently formed his own band, the Andrea Colli Inside Out Trio with Raff Marchionna on guitar and Mirco Capecchi on double bass.
